Bunker Opticians & Hearing Centre has been providing independent eye care since 1986, founded by Graeme Bunker with a simple belief: good care takes time, honesty and attention to detail.

That belief continues to shape how we work today.

As an independent practice, we focus on clear advice, continuity of care and an unhurried experience. We take the time to listen, explain and guide — so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Alongside our long-established eye care services, we have also provided professional hearing care in practice since 2019, allowing us to support both vision and hearing under one roof.

At Bunker Opticians & Hearing Centre, we provide comprehensive eye and hearing care for adults and children. Our approach is unhurried and personal, combining clinical expertise with clear communication and continuity of care.

We focus on long-term eye and hearing health — not volume or rushed appointments.

Eye care

Our eye examinations are thorough and tailored to you. We allow time to understand your vision, eye health and any concerns, using advanced diagnostic technology where appropriate and explaining everything clearly, without unnecessary jargon.

Our eye care services include:

• Eye examinations for adults and children

• Contact lens consultations and ongoing care

• Advanced OCT imaging to monitor eye health over time

• Wide-field retinal imaging to support detailed assessment

We also provide ongoing support for spectacles, sunglasses and contact lenses, guiding you through options that prioritise comfort, visual clarity and long-term suitability.

Hearing care

We have provided hearing care services in practice since 2019, offering a calm and professional approach to hearing health as part of our wider commitment to long-term wellbeing.

Our hearing services include:

• Comprehensive hearing assessments

• Guidance on hearing health and hearing solutions

• Safe, professional ear wax removal via microsuction

Care Plan (Eye & Hearing)

For patients who value continuity and simplicity, our Care Plan (Eye & Hearing) brings together ongoing eye and hearing care in one straightforward arrangement.

From £12 per month, the Care Plan is designed to support long-term care with predictable, ongoing access and added reassurance.
